First impressions

Some comparisons with yuusha

68 item vs 61
24 maps vs 12
5 characters vs 17

Seems a little slower than yuusha, but I am using a cracked english client and don't have an ID for the japanese one so can't be sure.

Has some completely random hit areas in the oddest places (which can be done in yuusha, but I wouldn't do it like that). Movable breasts and nipples? Might as well just remove those hit areas. Then it's the same posing system as yuusha. However, pressing the w key hides those random hit areas. Doesn't seem like a useful function.

Uses the same finger morph system (clearly it's the same thing), so I can probably just copy the characters over without having to modify anything and make it work.

No wind. Harder to make realistic scenes, though it seems like stuff just hangs in mid-air when you move characters around. Maybe that's the trick behind it? lol pretty difficult.

Home and End moves the model up and down, and her clothes/hair goes flying and stays there until you click on the model. Lol amusing

A lot of mouth animations. Can be useful, though I haven't actually did any xa editing yet.

Hiding specific clothing. This is pretty nice. In yuusha the only workaround I have is to replace the semen functions, but DM comes with both!

Changing head and body
Well, this was kind of surprising. I randomly hit 6, 7, and 8 and noticed these features. Definitely something yuusha doesn't have, but it's not something that would work on yuusha either since the body sizes are different.

3-step semen settings. Also pretty interesting. In yuusha it's either on or off, but in DM you can have none, small amount, and then large amount.

models and lst overview

-Same skeletons. Pretty nice, easy to move characters between yuusha and DM.
-limb and hitarea lst files are the same, so setting up a character is the same as yuusha.
-Items use the same digi_item.lst file, which allows you to specify which PP the item is located in..
-Maps use map.lst, and specifies day, evening, and night for each slot. This means you can have a total of 24 maps loaded at runtime, which is quite impressive...though it is simply a convenience.
-character definition file is interesting. It seems to load up all 4 girls in the same slot, and is probably used to allow swapping heads and bodies. Still, 5 characters is kind of limiting.

Overall, several nice features, but the lack of characters makes it a little inflexible.
Graphic quality is also a little lower. I actually feel like it's a little blurry lol

DM comes with the option of having more maps, better control over clothing/semen, more animation slots, and swapping models on the spot, in exchange for no wind and low-quality rendering.

I'll write up some guides for item switching, map switching, and maybe character imports, but the client isn't too interesting even with the extra features.

Setting up

Finished setting up blog for some digimate adventure. Now I just need it to finish downloading.

Some goals I want to achieve before I begin:

-Add items
-Add maps
-Add characters
-Change button functionality

Basically whatever was already done in yuusha, and more since DM seems to offer more functionality.
